Medicinal plants’ Technical Idea Show Held in Yazd Province

The very first technical idea show on “Business and Entrepreneurship in Medicinal Plants” has been held by Medicinal Plants’ Development Center of Yazd academic center for education, culture and research (ACECR) with the collaboration of Technology Commercialization Organization and Graduates Occupation of ACECR of this province.

The very first technical idea show on “Business and Entrepreneurship in Medicinal Plants” has been held by Medicinal Plants’ Development Center of Yazd academic center for education, culture and research (ACECR) with the collaboration of Technology Commercialization Organization and Graduates Occupation of ACECR of this province.
According to ISNA, considering the importance of cultivation development and medicinal plants’ processing in the country’s economy and their importance in the economy of resistance, head of the Medicinal Plants’ Development Center, Dr. Ahmad Afrouzian, pointed out the aims of this scientific conference as, developing business and entrepreneurship based on science and technology, supporting innovations, breeding creativity and ideation and transforming these ideas in to presentable technological products with the power to rival with the foreign products as well as the expansion of technological business in order to form an innovative culture, and last but not least, attracting investors and commercialization of innovations and technological ideas in the field of medicinal plants.
He added, “Among the ideas sent to the secretariat of ‘Medicinal Plants’ Idea Show’, 18 ideas were approved by the referee to enter the final stage. Considering several factors such as, how economical and how practical an idea is, its creativity and innovation, its capability to solve the country’s problems and several other indexes, the three ideas mentioned below were chosen as the best ideas which received certificates of appreciation as well as cash prizes.
The first prize went to Sara Ghafarian with the idea of “producing edible poison to prolong the sustainability of agricultural products, using plant extracts”, the second prize went to Reyhaneh Khafaji, with the idea of “producing healthy safety masks, using medicinal plants”, and the third prize went to Sima Fereydouni, with the idea entitling “Treating diabetic foot ulcer, using herbal ointment”.
