Third Iranian Tarragon Festival to be Held in the City of Golbaft

Third Medicinal Plants Festival will be held this month, focusing on tarragon, and with a purpose of introducing Golbaft city, Iran.

In his interview with Botia News Agency, Mehdi Behzadi, the executive secretary of the Third Tarragon Festival in Golbaft, said, “The Third Medicinal Plants Festival, will be held late August, focusing on tarragon, the quality of which being exceptional in the Middle-East, and with a purpose of introducing Golbaft city as well as making this region known to the public. This festival is claimed to be more dynamic and a wide rage of public, private as well as social institutions are collaborating to make it happen.”

Behzadi went on to say, “Unlike the previous years, this festival will be held during two days, and variety of programs have been planned to be coordinated. The main part of the festival is on Friday, 25 August, in Vali-Asr park of Golbaft city and channel three of IRIB will be broadcasting the event, live.”

It should be noted that tarragon is one of the main medicinal plants, exported to Europe and Golbaft city is Iran’s most important region to produce this plant.
