The Scientific Secretary of the National Network of Science and Technology in Medicinal Plants, Dr. Peyman Salehi, stated the details concerning the progress of the congress.

In an interview with the science reporter of IRNA, the Scientific Secretary of the 5th National Congress on Medicinal Plants indicated that basic sciences, agriculture and natural resources, pharmacy, medicine and veterinary medicine, industry and economics are among the topics of this congress and added, “This congress is the best opportunity to interchange ideas and information as well as to share the latest scientific and commercial findings.”

Referring to the active presence of industry owners, manufacturers and exporters of medicinal plants, Dr. Peyman Salehi stated, “Special part of this congress has been devoted to the manufacturers, in order for them to not only present the scientific findings in this field, but to express the problems, solutions for those problems and interlocutions with others.”

“Among the sideline programs of this congress is to hold medicinal plants and related products exhibition”, he said, “the manufacturers and exporters are gathered together in 15 to 20 exhibition booths to display their findings to the public.”

The Scientific Secretary of the 5th National Congress on Medicinal Plants said, “February 9th is the deadline to send the papers to the secretariat of the congress. All those interested whether researchers or university students and academics can send their papers to the secretariat of the congress by February 9th. “

Salehi went on to say, “Those interested may visit the website of the congress, http://www.ncmp2016.com, in order to access full information in this regard.” Referring to the fact that this congress has been well received by medicinal plants researchers and annually, between one thousand four hundred to two thousand papers in various topics have been sent to the secretariat of this congress, he added, “In any one of the congress of the previous years, approximately 800 papers in the form of poster and 60 papers in the form of oral lecture, have been presented.”
