The Second Exhibition of The ‘International Green Week’ To Be Held

The second exhibition of the ‘International Green Week’ with an approach for a green life, will be held between December 27th to December 31st, 2016, with the support of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.

The second exhibition of the ‘International Green Week’ will be held with the aim of introducing the facilities and capabilities. The aims and plans in six different categories; agriculture: medicinal plants, herbal medicine, plant resins; environment; green industries and services; organic food: horticulture, plants and flowers as well as introducing the latest facilities, technologies, technical services and environmental engineering.

Of this event’s other goals are the improving of tourism and the culture of ecotourism as well as the optimum use of leisure time, boosting the role of environmental institutions and organizations in sustainable development plans, getting familiar with environmental management in compliance with international standards, introducing the green industries in the field of oil, gas and petrochemical, transportation, automobile, structure, mine, store, aviation, municipal and urban engineering, telecommunication, bank and insurance.

Environmental awareness in the society and laying the grounds for the public’s contributions in conserving the environment, presenting underlying and scientific solutions to prevent the environment from being destroyed,  establishing solidarity among those involved in environmental affairs in order to make them more capable of implementing environmental projects as well as introducing Iran’s natural environment and wildlife, are all among the other goals of the second exhibition of the International Green Week.

Policy-making Council Meeting Hosted by the Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology

For these reasons, the fourth policy-making council meeting of the second exhibition of the ‘International Green Week’ was held. Thirty ministries, organizations and institutions which support the Green Week attended this meeting which was hosted by the Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology.

According to the public relations of the Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology, the aims and plans of the Green Week were reviewed in this meeting. The aims and plans which are to do with conferences and exhibitions, the importance of a green life, environment and sustainable development, comprehensive participation of National Council for Science and Technology Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine, Vice-presidency for Science and Technology in this event, with a brief description of functions of Science and Technology Development Councils in the 16 sections and the relevant committees considering the support and attendance in this international event, the awareness of the public regarding the problems they have concerning water, excessive cultivation, cultivation pattern, medicinal plants and herbal medicine.

The second exhibition of the ‘International Green Week’ will be held between December 27th to December 31st, 2016, in Kish island of Iran, with the support of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Ministry of Energy, Islamic Azad University, Iran Fisheries Organization, Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization of Iran, Hormozgan Province Department of Environment, Iran’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports- Department of  Environment and Sustainable Development, Agricultural Engineering System and Natural Resources of Iran, Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Iran’s Health and Insurance Organization, National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Iran Orchard Owners, National Union of Iran Bread Producers and Exporters, Scientific Association of Iran’s Wind Energy, Iranian Solar Energy scientific Association and Iran’s Renewable Energy Association.
