The Second Meeting of Medicinal Plants National Focal Points
The ‘Second Meeting of Medicinal Plants Focal Points of Indian Ocean Rim Countries Association (IORA RCSTT)’, was held in India. The aim of this meeting was, standardization and setting the minimum quality standard requirements of medicinal plants and herbal medicines accepted by the regional states.
The ‘Second Meeting of Medicinal Plants Focal Points of Indian Ocean Rim Countries Association of Regional Center for Science and Technology Transfer (IORA RCSTT)’, was held in Lucknow, India, between March 18-19, 2015, with the aim of setting minimum quality standard requirements of medicinal plants and herbal medicines which are accepted by the regional states.
This meeting was hosted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research with the support of IORA RCSTT, the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Central Institute for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), and participated by the national centers for medicinal plants of the 11 regional member states and the private sectors of both Iran and India.
In the sidelines, there was an exhibition for medicinal plants producers to provide commercial opportunities for the member countries.
