A Standard Pattern for Traditional Medicine to be Presented to People

Head of Healthcare Institutes of the 4th National Festival and Exhibition on Medicinal Plants, Natural Based Products and Iranian Traditional Medicine referred to the Healthcare Institutes of the festival as a great opportunity to present people with a standard pattern for traditional medicine.

Mahmoud Khodadoust, Head of Healthcare Institutes of the 4th National Festival and Exhibition on Medicinal Plants, Natural Based Products and Iranian Traditional Medicine, said that this festival, which is being held with the endeavors of the National Council for Science and Technology Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine, Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology, has had Healthcare Institutes for the past two years and this year too will be including this section for the third time in a row.

He indicated, “The Healthcare Institutes will make it possible for people to benefit from counseling and treatment services in the field of medicinal plants. Above all, these institutes provide a healthcare standard based on the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, which is extremely important.”

According to Khodadoust, the Healthcare Institutes are not confined to services for a few days of the festival and exhibition, but that they plan to present people with a standard pattern on traditional medicine, in terms of lifestyle as well as traditional medicinal improvement.

Considering the fact that visitors of the Healthcare Institutes in the previous two years of the National Festival and Exhibition on Medicinal Plants, Natural Based Products and Iranian Traditional Medicine expressed their contentment with these institutes, he added, “One of the motivations of the visitors was to use the services in the institutes. In them visitors were provided with services such as identifying their nature, treatments for improving their nature as well as their lifestyle and prescriptions.”

He added, “A specialist in skin care, women’s health, digestive system, etc is positioned in the institute, therefore, visitors will have a better accessibility to their treatment methods and simpler way to refer to them. Also There were positive feedback in this respect in the previous years.”

This member of the National Council for Science and Technology Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine said, “This year, we have tried to delegate the task of counseling services, lifestyle improvement, treatment methods of traditional medicine as well as the review of herbal medicine and medicinal plants to one of the traditional medicine faculties located in Tehran.”

Tehran Medical University, Shahed University, Iran University as well as Medical University for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army are the universities he named, then added, “This will not only provide a motivation for giving better services, but that it will promote the services of these institutes, not to mention the management of the services given is facilitated.”    

The 4th National Festival and Exhibition on Medicinal Plants, Natural Based Products and Iranian Traditional Medicine, will be held in Tehran’s Mosala from 12-15  November 2018, with the assistance of National Council for Science and Technology Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine, Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology.
