The Harvest of 16,500 Tonnes of Barberries to be Predicted in Southern Khorasan Province

The head of Agriculture Jihad of Southern Khorasan Province said, “It is predicted that 16 thousand 500 tonnes of barberries, 1,567 billion Rials valuation, will be harvested in this province.”

Hashem Vali Pour Motlagh in an interview with ISNA, Iranian Students’ News Agency of the southern Khorasan Province, said, “At the moment, 14 thousand 228 hectares of the lands of this province are under the cultivation of barberries.”

“It is predicted that this year, 16,500 tonnes of barberries, 1,567 billion Rials valuation, will be harvested in this province.” He added.

The head of the Agriculture Jihad of the Southern Khorasan Province has announced that 14 thousand 999 tonnes of barberries, 1,379 billion Rials valuation, have been harvested.

He notified people of the 30 thousand beneficiaries in the field of barberry harvest in this province and stated, “With 4 thousand and 54 hectares, and 3 thousand 925 tonnes of harvest, Qaen county produces the most barberries in the province.”
