1200 Papers Accepted in “4th National Congress in Medicinal Plants”

The Secretary of National Network of Research and Technology in Medicinal Plants, and the scientific secretary of the 4th National Congress in Medicinal Plants, Dr. Peyman Salehi announced that more than 2000 papers were sent to the secretariat of the Congress, 1200 of which, were accepted by the scientific committee.

The scientific secretary of the 4th National Congress in Medicinal Plants said, “About 2000 papers were sent to the secretariat of this Congress and 1200 papers have been accepted by the referees.”
Professor Peyman Salehi stated, “Among those accepted papers, 50 will be presented in the form of oral lecture and the rest as poster.”
He mentioned that the main areas of the Congress are agriculture and natural resources, pharmacy – medicine and veterinary drugs, basic sciences, and industry and economy, he also added, “Most of the papers were regarding agriculture and natural resources.”
Salehi stated that this Congress is a suitable place for exposure to diversity of opinion, sharing of scientific findings, and presentation of the latest achievements, and added, “This Congress will be actively attended by groups of experts such as professors, students, producers and exporters of medicinal plants.”
He then proceeded to say, “Some of the most important topics that are addressed in this Congress are, commercialising, production, export and import of medicinal plants.”
The scientific secretary of the 4th National Congress in Medicinal Plants stated that the holding of events, exhibitions and sessions with some specialists from industrial sectors, are among this Congress’ other goals. He added, “This session which is attended by industrial specialists, will be convened in order to look into some of the challenges and problems of medicinal plants industry.”
He referred to the retraining credibility for the participants, given by Agriculture and Natural Resources Engineering Organization and Iran Veterinary Organization and said, “For Iran Veterinary Organization 20 points is considered and for Agriculture and Natural Resources Engineering Organization a license equal to six hours training will be issued, also the pursuit of the doctors and pharmacists’ retraining credibility license is ongoing.”
