Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Mahmoud Hojati, has appointed Dr. Hossein Zeinali, faculty member of Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center of Isfahan Province, as the executive manager of Medicinal Plants Project.
Iran’s 1st International Congress and 2nd National Conference on Biotechnology of Medicinal Plants and Mushrooms will be held in the University of Zanjan through 27-28 August, 2018.
The executive manager of Medicinal Plants Development Plan of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization stated that cultivation development and harvest of medicinal plants are potentials of the country’s natural resources, making it possible to import currencies, replacing the great oil resources.
In a meeting between the board of trustees of the National Development Fund of Iran, granting facilities to Medicinal plants cultivation has been put on top of the list of priorities of this fund.
The CEO of the Industrial Complexes Company of Ardabil Province said, ” With the collaboration of the private sectors, a non governmental industrial complex of medicinal plants’ processing is going to be set up.”
The scientific secretary of the 7th National Congress on Medicinal Plants indicated that 677 papers were presented to this congress which is held in Shiraz, through 12-14 May, 2018. This congress is supported by National Council for Science and Technology Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine, Vice-presidency for Science and Technology.
The Ministry of Health and Medical Education delegate in the National Council for Science and Technology Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine indicated that a major in Natural Products has been enacted.
Fourth Exhibition and Festival of Medicinal Plants, Natural-based Products and Traditional Medicine of Iran, will be held through 12 to 15, November 2018.
Head of Rural Cooperative Organization of Khorasan Razavi Province said, “64 tonnes of medicinal plant varieties, such as saffron, have been purchased with a guaranteed price in this province, this year.”
On the occasion of tree planting week, by planting 40 varieties of tree species, shrubs and medicinal plants, the first stage of Zagros Botanical Garden was opened in Razi University of Kermanshah.
