The educational workshop on “Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography Method (FPLC)”, was held by National Network of Research and Technology in Medicinal Plants, with the collaboration of Medicinal Plants and Drugs Research Institute of Shahid Beheshti University.
Head of Iran’s Tea Research Institute said, “National Conference on Tea and Herbal Tea will be held from 31st of January to 1st of February in Lahijan city of Iran, with the collaboration of Iran’s Medicinal Plants Society.”
The cultivation area for henna in this province is 20 hectares, with the average production of two tonnes of leaves per hectare. Masoud Gorgij also noted, “The majority of the cultivation is in the villages of Shamil, Ghale Qazi and Takht of Bandar Abbas County.”
“Processing of agricultural products, including medicinal plants, will be completely supported,” said the minister of Agriculture Jihad.

The First National Conference on Pharmacognosy will be held with the aims of bringing together the scientists and scholars of this field, in order to exhibit the country’s latest scientific and research discoveries and achievements as well as delivering scientific lectures by professors of this field.
The perfume for Imam Reza’s Holy Shrine will now be produced by Medicinal Plants and Drugs Research Institute of Shahid Beheshti University, through an agreement with Astan Quds Razavi. The perfume was previously brought in from abroad.
The 2017 technical workshop schedules of National Network of Research and Technology in Medicinal Plants together with the corresponding dates and places, have been announced by the network secretariat.
The 7th National Congress on Medicinal Plants, will be held in Shiraz University, Cultural and Leisure Complex, between 12-14th of May, 2018.
Those interested in trans-territory cultivation of medicinal plants, can refer to Medicinal Plants National Plan Center and announce their request to participate. They will be provided with a 500 Euros of subsidy per hectare by the corresponding country. Furthermore, the Second Iran-Germany Medicinal Plants Symposium will be held in Tehran, in May 2018.
