The general manager of Natural, Traditional Products and Supplement Supervision of Iran’s Food and Drug Administration indicated that 1,713 medicinal plant products exist in the country.

Due to Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province’s green pastures covered with medicinal plants, this province is apt to develop honey bee breeding and the honey produced in this province is of high quality.
The head of Ministry of Agriculture Jihad of Yazd province said, “Medicinal plants are considered to have the fastest yields among the agricultural products.”
The director of Horticulture Department of Ministry of Agriculture Jihad of Qom province announced that 594 tonnes of medicinal plants were produced last year.
