In a meeting between the Iranian and French Ministers of Agriculture, the Iranian Minister of Agriculture Jihad, Hojjati, underlined that part of the bilateral collaboration must be on Iranian capacity for medicinal plants, and the joint investment of the French side, in production, processing and marketing, aiming at exporting to the European Union and the other countries in the region, all of which, was greatly received by his French counterpart.
Referring to Iran’s capacity for the production of medicinal plants, due to its great climatic as well as ecological potentials, French Minister of Agriculture, Stephane Le Foll said that he would take the necessary actions to secure a connection in the field of medicinal plants, between his country’s investors and those interested, and their Iranian counterparts.
In the visit by the President of Iran and his accompanying delegation, six technical panels were held, one of which was related to Agriculture, with the participation of more than seventy of managing directors, CEO of companies, associations and Agriculture Union of Iran and France.
Director General for International Affairs and Specialized Organizations of Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Houman Fathi, said, “In this panel, apart from presenting reports concerning our country’s capacities and abilities in the field of medicinal plants, edible essences and flavors, the Iranian companies were willing to have mutual collaboration with the French to manufacture and export these products to the European Union and the countries in the region.
