Vice-president of the Development of Rural and Deprived Areas said, “Value added of medicinal plants cultivation is for processing and prevention of selling raw products, which unfortunately has been neglected in our country.”
All the required groundwork has been done to establish Scientific Tea Association of Iran.
Medicinal Plants Development Document has been arranged and compiled in this province, “Cultivation development and mass production of medicinal plants are among the most important goals of this strategic document.”
Technical work group on Technology and Entrepreneurship Development of National Council for Science and Technology Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine, has presented some special entrepreneurship packages.
A workshop on animal studies in pharmacological methods will be held by National Network of Research and Technology in Medicinal Plants. The workshop will be taught by Dr. Mojtaba Ziaee, cardiovascular pharmacology specialist, and a faculty member of Research Institute of Medicinal Plants, Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research.
The executive of the National Plan for Medicinal Plants of Agriculture Jihad said, “The first National Forum on Medicinal Plants in the country will be held on 16th February of 2018 in Milad Tower.”
Medicinal plants production has made over 5000 jobs in Yazd Province, and due to shortage of water in this province, it is necessary to cultivate drought-tolerant plants and those suitable to the climate conditions of the region.
After a proposition to the parliament (Islamic Consultative Assembly) by the people’s representative of Torbat-e Heydarieh, Mah Velat and Zaveh counties, and a petition, signed by a group of members of the Parliament, a request was made to the Minister of Agriculture Jihad to form an organization to support the production and processing of saffron and medicinal plants.
The educational workshop on “Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography Method (FPLC)”, was held by National Network of Research and Technology in Medicinal Plants, with the collaboration of Medicinal Plants and Drugs Research Institute of Shahid Beheshti University.
Head of Iran’s Tea Research Institute said, “National Conference on Tea and Herbal Tea will be held from 31st of January to 1st of February in Lahijan city of Iran, with the collaboration of Iran’s Medicinal Plants Society.”
