The one day symposium of the Iranian and Chinese traditional medicine was held at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, with the collaboration between Faculty of Traditional Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and Vice-presidency of Traditional Medicine of Ministry of Health and Medical Education, during which, collaboration agreements regarding the Iranian and Chinese traditional medicine were signed.

The meeting between Technology Development Councils and Iran High-tech Laboratory Network, Vice-presidency for Science and Technology, was held and attended by the head and secretary of this network as well as a team of representatives from Technology Development Councils.

The secretary of the Iranian Production and Export Union of Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) said: “95 percent of the factory products of Iran are exported to other countries.”

The International Symposium on Advances in Lamiaceae Science will be held in Antalya, Turkey in April 2017.

The Scientific Secretary of the National Network of Science and Technology in Medicinal Plants, Dr. Peyman Salehi, stated the details concerning the progress of the congress.

The 9th Conference on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of Southeast European Countries (CMAPSEEC) will be held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria from 26th to 29th of May 2016.

Islamic Republic of Iran’s minister of Agriculture Jihad, Mahmoud Hojjati, in two separate meetings with Agriculture Minister of Germany and Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Slovenia, indicated that bilateral collaboration in the field of agriculture and medicinal plants will be expanded between the countries.

Director general of International Business Development, Vice-presidency for Science and Technology said,”Today, in an agreement with a Malaysian trading and production company, it has been settled to export 20 million dollars worth of Iranian herbal medicine to the four Asian countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore.”
